I DO JAZZ
How can we help?
Practice jazz piano with focused drills, MIDI keyboard feedback, and self-guided exercises.
Getting started
Open the app with an internet connection, hold your device in landscape, and choose a drill from the menu. Adjust the tempo and options, then tap Start. No account is required.
Using a MIDI keyboard
Connect a compatible USB MIDI keyboard with an adapter suitable for your iPhone or iPad. Some keyboards need external power or a powered USB hub. In App settings (the gear icon), select MIDI keyboard as the input. If notes are not detected, check the cable and power, reconnect the keyboard, and reopen the app. Bluetooth MIDI pairing is not currently available in the app.
Practicing without MIDI
Open App settings and choose Self-guided (no scoring) under Input. You can follow the exercises on your piano without a MIDI connection.
Sound and loading problems
Check your device volume and the app's sound setting. If you have selected a MIDI output, sound may be sent to your connected instrument instead of the device speakers. For a loading problem, check your internet connection and reopen the app. The first launch needs internet access.
Your saved progress
Progress and your own exercises are stored locally. Deleting the app or clearing website data can erase them. There is no account-based cloud recovery, so avoid deleting the app as a first troubleshooting step.
